The South Osborne Local Food Buying Club makes accessing nutritious, sustainably produced, ethical, local food simpler than going to a grocery store

As part of the Harvest Moon Local Food Initiative, the buying club connects South Osborne residents directly to the people who grow and produce their food. The Harvest Moon farmers and harvesters are committed to protecting the land, water and soil, as well as ethically care for their animals.

Ready to join this grassroots initiative and reinvent a more sustainable food system? Simply shop the selection of products from a dozen family farms and harvesters on the Harvest Moon Local Food Initiative online marketplace, and pick up your order at the Riverview Community Centre.  Deliveries are made once per month, but with no minimum order and no requirement to place an order every month, it’s flexible for a family of any size.  The wide variety of grass-fed and pastured hormone-free meats, wild pickerel, organic vegetables, wild rice, organic grains and flours, honey, maple syrup, bread and more means you can keep your pantry stocked with local food year round!
